Will an MRI give you answers for your ankle pain?

Hello

Many people are deeply worried about they pain and what is causing it. I know of many who have spent a lot of money just to have an answer of what causes their pain.

This week we will look atHow reliable is an MRI to find the cause of their pain.

The name of the study is “MR imaging as a problem-solving tool in posterior ankle pain: A review.”

They said that an MRI is very useful in finding problems like the ones they talk about here. “This type of coalition is usually cartilaginous and typically involves the postero-medial aspect of the joint (Fig. 1), with irregular bony hypertrophy seen posterior to the middle facet and protruding into the tarsal tunnel.”

This are all kinds of wear and tear that can be seen with an MRI. They themselves, like we will see from the scientists, are not a sign of the cause of the issues.

“It is of paramount importance to remember that MR features seen in several pathologic conditions may also be observed in asymptomatic individuals.”

These things arefound even in people without problems. If these issues are found in those without issues, why would we think they are the cause of the persons suffering too?

It doesn’t make sense. If one person has the same issue as another, it would make sense that they both would have similar pains.

What do you think?

Do you think an MRI will give you the solution to your problem?

OR do you want to try something else?
