PAIN: Why You should listen to your wife about getting help
As men, we don’t want to fall into the trap of ignoring the smart women in our lives. They are in our lives for a reason
Over the past couple of weeks, I have been receiving a lot of calls from concerned wives and girlfriends about their men being in pain.
So listen up. This is why you should listen to your wives about getting help for your pain.
1. They care about you.
They can see you are suffering. They care for you deeply.
They do not want to see you suffer any more from this pain. They can see that you aren’t yourself because of it. If you saw that your wife was struggling wouldn’t you want to help her where you can? Wouldn’t you want her to get help?
2. She is worried he can see how much pain you are in.
She can see that it has been many weeks or months of next week if it is not better I will get help. But you still haven’t seen anyone. You keep saying you will go but haven’t.
She is also concerned that maybe what you have could be something serious. Not knowing what is wrong and how to fix it is even more worrying for her. That is why she is calling us for you. She is worried.
3. She is frustrated because you are stubborn and don’t want to get help.
You are tough. You aren’t going to let little back pain stop you but even the toughest guys can be brought to their knees because of pain. What is frustrating is that she has told you to get help. Even called on your behalf to get you the help, book your appointment and you said no. I will see how I feel next week. How many weeks of next week has it been?
She is tired of giving you massages and it not making any difference. She is tired of listening to you complain and not doing anything about it.
She wants the man she married. Not this man in pain, grumpy, snapping at her because he is sore and frustrated because he still isn’t better.Don’t let it reach the point where she is so frustrated with you that she stops being the woman you wanted. Or worse, stops wanting to help you.
