3 reasons why Anti-inflammatories are so dangerous
Hello
This week I am going to tell you why popping anti-inflammatories like smarties every time you have pain is extremely dangerous.
Anti-inflammatory drugs are designed to stop inflammation when the cause of a person problem is run away inflammation that is abnormal or dangerous.
It is not meant to be taken all the time unless you have the disease that causes runaway inflammation as taking it then is worth the risks.
Inflammation is normal and good
Most people do not know that inflammation s good and a normal process in the body. The process by which the body calls all the cells to an injured area and to heal that injury is called inflammation.
Inflammation is the medical term we use in medicine to describe the process of healing the body.
So if you take anti-inflammatories after you have been injured, you are stopping or impairing the bodies ability to heal naturally. Slowing healing down and making the injured area heal weaker than it would without the anti-inflammatories.
If you have pain that is caused by a recent injury, you shouldn’t take them anyway.
IF your pain came out of nowhere, you cannot think of any cause of that pain, why are you taking them as there is no injury the body needs to heal from anyway?
You could be taking pills that aren’t doing anything to help you
They should never be taken for a long time
Remember earlier when I told you they were dangerous? What makes them so dangerous is that they stop or impair normal and healthy processes in the body from happening, they also have very serious side effects that will become irreversible if you keep taking them for a long time
Those side effects are
Stomach pain and heartburn
Stomach ulcers
Tendency to bleed more
Headaches and dizziness
Allergic reactions
Liver and kidney problems
High blood pressure
The problem is not when you take them for a short time, the problem is when you take them a long time consistently or off and on.
They cause stomach ulcers
If you have them or know anyone with one, you know that they are just hell and never seem to get better.
I don’t think you knew that taking anti-inflammatories is what causes them. How they cause them is by stopping inflammation. Inflammation not only is the process our body implements to heal injuries but also to grow a new lining of our stomachs.
You see when you stop normal inflammation, you also stop all the normal things the body needs to do to prevent problems, like producing stomach lining constantly to make sure that our stomach acid doesn’t eat its way through the stomach.
Worse still, the longer you take anti-inflammatories the thinner the lining gets or the bigger the ulcer becomes.
It can get big enough that it starts to bleed.
The bleeding ulcer can get so bad that you can land up in a hospital, almost bled to death from it, like so many people who came to see us have been.
We know of some people who have sadly died because of bleeding ulcers.
Do you still want to keep taking anti-inflammatories now?
Or do you want to try something different?
